Charity box by Carl Nordheim, Vienna, Austria fl 1792-1835. The resemblance to a grave probably indicates the particular cause to which donations would go – in this case a burial charity. Lock looks to be original as it matches the loop on the hasp. Looks like the loop was cut from another lock so it is a duplicate. The lock is operated by turning the face to reveal the key hole, which is interesting. 8½" high by 7" long by 4½" wide.
