Description – lot 399 A broad rimmed pewter charger, by RC, naively engraved with signs of the zodiac, 45.75cm diameter (18”) Cost £660 including auction costs and Mailboxes shipping. Hammer price was £480 with a Pewter Society member the underbidder. The RC mark is like that found in the Navarro Collection on the plates – “Monmouth Ye Traitor is Killed” and “Rejoice Argyle Ye traitor is Fallen” NAV 184 and NAV 185 and otherwise not (yet) found on the Pewter Society data base.
